Pago has won the Gold Machinery Award at Starpack. This award is for an innovation in machine technology, which has made a new pack format possible. PagoLSC is a concept which allows companies to supply language specific packs in low volumes. PagoLSC technology creates novel and convenient packs, already introduced into CEE markets by the first customer, GSK. The equipment combines improved Thermal Print and Apply labelling, linked to an automatic leaflet feeder. Leaflet and label are combined with a 'generic' carton, through the application equipment. Also new is the use of 2D datamatrix codes to confirm all components are correct. With a sequential number the individual pack is unique, a first in general pharmaceutical distribution. Included in the system is a range of print and database software. Label text is controlled by validated checks which cannot be altered in the packing cell. GMP quality systems audit print clarity, and report individual job and order compliance. PagoLSC confirms the Group's commitment to the Pharmaceutical industry, combining print with functional advantages. For once....the later the better.
