The main criteria for automatic labelling for round bottles involving small volumes has to date always been economy. Whenever it was not viable to purchase a high performance system as a result of the batch sizes involved the only alternative was often a semi-automatic all round labelling system. However, now there is a genuine alternative from Pago in the form of two new labelling systems which can offer all-round labelling with maximum precision using either a 3-roll system or fast and reliable labelling from a wound strip. The 3-roll system in the Pago system 148 offers maximum precision and a capacity of up to 50 units per minute. The axial product alignment during the labelling process rules out the possibility of spiral effects. Labelling with a precise viewing gap, exact overlapping or full body labelling with front and rear labels are all possible on this machine. The PAGO system 145 has a capacity of up to 120 units per minute and is designed for high throughput. The labelling process takes place continuously with a wound strip. The product is rotated and the label then placed into position with uniform pressure to prevent any wrinkles. The sturdy labelling heads, the Pagomat 3 series, ensure that both systems are extremely reliable and easy to use with an integral controller. A two-line illuminated LCD display (in various languages) and the memory to hold labelling data for specific products ensure easy machine control and simple resetting for different products. The labelling process itself is monitored at all times. |
