Group history

Pago AG was founded in 1896 by Christian Tischhauser, the grandfather of the two main shareholders, Giacumin and Rodolfo Saluz.

In the 100 years that followed, the business grew from a one man company into an international operating holding company with over 1200 employees.

As an international concern with well established regional companies, the Pago Group is committed to meeting the requirements of both national and international customers. To this end, national companies in the group will be offering market- specific products designed to meet the particular requirements of the country they serve. For international companies, universal systems and labels are being developed for world wide use, assuring uniform decoration and product marking on an international scale.
