Entry level labeller makes first UK appearance

An in-line pressure-sensitive labeller developed specifically as an entry level machine was shown for the first time by Pago.

The Pago System 80 can be supplied as a front-and-back or full wraparound labeller and shares many components with established Pago in-line machines.

However, to reduce the cost of manufacture, the overall design is simpler, in particular the drive system which employs separate motors for the conveyor, top hold, after roll and chain orientation unit, rather than a central drive.

The System 80 offers speed up to 100 items a minute, and employs the established Pagomat 6 AM labelling head.

"As a result, although this is a simpler, lower cost machine, users will find no compromise on accuracy," says Pago managing director Mike Cooper.

Self adhesive labelling is a system where optimum performance depends upon both correct product handling and accurate label application. The quality of the label itself contributes hugely to the end result.

Pago Ltd design and build both standard machines and tailor made solutions. The heart of the machine is the PAGOmat label head which originates from our Swiss parent company and has been proven in the most stringent conditions.
