Bottlegreen apply neck hangers with Pago machine
Bottlegreen was established in 1989 originally to make English wine from the locally abundant elderflowers in rural Gloucestershire. They now produce a range of non achoholic drinks and sorbets using traditional production techniques and the finest ingredients. The ‘bottlegreen’ range is sold across the UK in leading retailers.
Bottlegreen have choosen a PAGO label applicator, floor standing, alongside an existing conveyor to apply a neckhangers or wobbler to the top of bottles. The cordials and sparkling pressés have unique blends of intense flavours presented in distinctive glass bottles. The machine has a PAGOmat 3 labelling unit to apply the neckhangers or wobblers, mounted on a support stand to position the PAGOmat to match the product, with vertical and horizontal adjustment via a handwheel, and fitted with adjustable machine feet. The overall base stand is limited to 600mm to fit the production line at Bottlegreen. The machine gives them flexibility to explore a variety of promotional opportunities. The system includes a product sensor, complete electronics and controls with a fault relay for head error.
Bottlegreen also purchased the neck hangers from Pago, and have so far applied neck hangers to two of their products. They selected Pago to produce the hangers because of their ability to print in 4 colours on both sides of the single neck hanger. The hangers printed on paper for dispensing in reels use PAGOmedia magic, the labels adhere to the backing paper by static eliminating the use of adhesive.
Lucy Wiltshire, Brands Marketing Executive said “We have found Pago a delight to work with. They are very efficent, reliable and helpful. The neckhangers they produced were of a high quality and we will definitely be using them again this year for more promotional work”
